        Who can prescribe psychiatric medication in Utah?

        Licensed psychiatric providers, including Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) and psychiatrists, can prescribe medications for many mental health conditions in Utah. At Skycloud Health, every prescription is based on a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation.

        Can I receive medication management online in Utah?

        Yes. Skycloud Health provides secure telehealth medication management appointments for eligible adults throughout Utah, making psychiatric care more convenient and accessible.

        What conditions can medication management help treat?

        Medication management may be recommended for depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, and other mental health conditions. Your provider will determine the most appropriate treatment based on your individual needs.

        How often are medication management appointments?

        Follow-up appointments depend on your treatment plan. Patients starting a new medication or adjusting dosages may be seen more frequently, while those with stable symptoms often have appointments every one to three months.

        Will I receive medication during my first appointment?

        If medication is clinically appropriate after your psychiatric evaluation, your provider may prescribe medication during your first appointment.

        Can medication management be combined with therapy?

        Yes. Many people benefit from combining medication with therapy. Depending on your goals and diagnosis, your provider may recommend counseling alongside medication management for a more comprehensive approach to care.
