Psychiatric Services via Remote Telepsychiatry for Gender-Diverse People

Skycloud Mental Health is a telepsychiatry practice that provides medication, therapy, and other mental health treatments to patients in need of support. Skycloud’s team of psychiatric nurse practitioners offer a caring, comfortable space for you to receive therapy and medication for panic attacks, agoraphobia, GAD, and other anxiety disorders.

Everyone deserves to be their true selves. At Skycloud Mental Health, we help individuals that are in the process of understanding their gender, and those that are looking into gender affirming care with addressing their mental health concerns, affirming their gender identities, and performing psychiatric evaluations necessary for taking the next steps in the gender affirmation process.

We also work remotely, and are licensed to provide these services in Washington State, Oregon, Utah, and Minnesota. It doesn’t matter where you are in these states – you can find a place that is private and safe, and use the phone or digital video to finish your sessions. Use our online form to request an appointment.

What is Gender Affirming Care and Psychiatric Transgender Support?

Transgender and other gender-diverse individuals deserve to live their truth. Yet the process to become the person they were meant to be isn’t always easy. We do still live in a world dominated by cisgender norms, and one where trans people remain vulnerable to roadblocks set up by politicians and intolerance.

Our work, at Skycloud Mental Health, is to help you get to where you want to be by completing any required evaluations, managing medications, addressing any mental health concerns that may be present both as a result of living as a transgender person and from those that have developed independently, but may stand in the way of your ability to feel happy with yourself.

Gender affirming care provides the psychological and psychiatric services that you need to take the steps necessary to present your real self to the world.

Our Treatment and Support for Transgender and Gender-Diverse People

Skycloud is led by a team of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP).

We know how important it is for those that are looking for gender affirming services to know that they’re working with someone that cares for them inside and out. We offer several important services aimed at transgender and other gender-diverse individuals, including:

  • Gender Affirming Surgery Psychiatric Evaluations
  • Anxiety, Stress, Depression, and Grief Treatment
  • Medication Management

Our work is holistic. We believe in seeing you for who you are, and learning more about your life in ways that allow us to give you the best possible advice and support we can. Our founder, Madeline Jacobs, worked at the largest LGBTQ+ center in the world in Los Angeles, and recognizes some of the challenges that people face in today’s world – even more so over the past several years.

We also recognize and acknowledge that, as a marginalized group, not all people feel safe or comfortable visiting an office. That is one of the reasons that we are a telepsychiatry practice. You can find a location where you feel safe and have privacy, and use online video to receive your care.

We also know that, in some areas of WA, OR, UT, and MN, you may have a difficult time finding someone qualified – or someone you feel safe with – to give you gender affirming support, and so telepsychiatry ensures that we are only a phone call away.

Expressing who you are is not always easy. But through gender affirming care and support before, after, and during the gender affirmation process, you will be able to discover yourself and find peace and contentment.
