Hi! I am Tami and I’m a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. I have experience working with patients ages 13-64 years old. I specialize in treating disorders including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, insomnia, gender dysphoria, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and mental health conditions related to chronic illness and chronic pain. Prior to psychiatry, I worked in cardiovascular nursing. When I’m not working, I can be found outdoors spending time with my family and pitbull Coco.

My professional experience includes working in surgical trauma units and psychiatric units, and I have experience working with people who have intellectual disabilities. I also worked at the VA hospital in Salt Lake City, providing care to veterans. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming care, and various other mental health needs. I am fluent in English and Spanish.

I have degrees from the University of California, Irvine, The George Washington University, and The University of Pennsylvania. While serving 20 years as a naval officer, I developed strong active listening skills and a high level of consideration and respect for others. I have worked with both adult and adolescent psychiatric populations since 2015, and specialize in LGBTQIA+ affirming care and a wide range of other needs.
